Dear church, In the wake of President Trump declaring a state of emergency, and Governor Kemp declaring Georgia as such, and suggesting that all churches suspen...d their worship services, we will not be gathering at Greenwood Baptist Church tomorrow, Sunday, March 15 through Saturday, March 21. This includes Sunday school, Sunday worship, all small group gatherings, choir rehearsal, and all Wednesday night activities. We will keep you updated as more information and updates are available. In the meantime, please contact those who are in your small groups who may not see this message. Southern Baptist Convention Great Commission Council has encouraged us to make tomorrow a day of prayer. Will you join us in gathering in your homes with your families and making prayer a matter of diligence tomorrow? A prayer guide will be posted after this message. It grieves us to not assemble, and we long for the time when we can gather together again. In the meantime, continue best practices to stay healthy and keep each other healthy.

Dear parents and students, After much consideration and prayer and with disappointed hearts, we will be postponing DNow weekend. We do not make this decision out of fear, but out of God’s calling to be in peace and to love our neighbors. We want DNow to be a time where you are at peace with knowing that your child is growing in his or her faith. Unfortunately, that is not the thought on many parents’ minds right now. The concern is a community wide concern and who will be in contact with elderly, as well as young children. We are praying that there will be a better handle on COVID-19 within the upcoming weeks, and we will plan the new dates accordingly. Thank you for your understanding and prayers.
