www.josephproject.org (Israel Relief) We are excited to receive this week's shipment of quilts, baby blankets, and lots of practical winter items that will go ...specifically to organizations in Israel that support Holocaust survivors, single mothers, and families in financial distress, as well as vulnerable children in the foster/adoption system. Despite the sunny summers, Israeli winters can be very harsh! Unfortunately, most Israeli buildings are very poorly insulated resulting in a lot of wet and cold throughout the winter months, inside and outside. For those that struggle just to purchase weekly groceries, the exorbitant electricity cost of heating all winter is simply not feasible. This is a sad reality for many, and layering with warm winter clothing and blankets often the only option available to the communities we serve. We are thankful these items arrived before the cold begins and hope for more winter supplies to continue to arrive! See more
