The purpose of the National Women’s Studies Association (NWSA) Women of Color Caucus-Fronti...ers Student Essay Awards is to discover, encourage, and promote the intellectual development of emerging scholars who engage in critical theoretical discussions and/or analyses about feminist/womanist issues concerning women and girls of color in the United States and diasporas. One (1) $500 award is available for a woman of color who is a current graduate student and member of NWSA. The prize-winning essay will automatically be considered for publication by Frontiers; all essays are subject to Frontiers peer review process. ++Abstract Submission Window Closing Soon (Apr 30)++ On behalf of the organizing team, I would like to remind you about the upcoming deadline for abstract s...ubmissions for the Digital Americas Conference which will take place this fall. The deadline is April 30 which we do not envision to be extended. So, please get in your abstracts soon. Hosted by the Center for Inter-American Studies at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, the conference "Digital Americas" seeks to take stock of "the digital" within the context of American studies. We understand "America" broadly herethe United States, the Americas, and the Americas’ global entanglements. We are thus interested in contributions on digital pedagogy, digital methodologies, digital culture and digital media as objects of critical inquiry, and digital scholarship. In phase 1, we have accepted a total of 12 pre-formed tracks/panels.
