Lauren to Peru

Just received this message from a sweet friend, and was so encouraged by how the Lord is using her and and her church! They have a heart for the Lord, people, and missions, and it shows in all that they do!! I always say the best part of deputation for me was helping other girls see how they too can serve the Lord!!! This was such a blessing to me tonight!

It’s been a good afternoon!! Jóvenes. Cleaning and setting up the new nursery for church tomorrow. Then, dinner with friends! I love being in Peru!!

February was a wonderful month, and the Lord is blessing my time of language learning! Check out my latest prayer letter below.

I may be limited in my language abilities, but I can love on these sweet babies in the nursery in any language! We have a great time, when they aren’t all crying at once!

The last few days have been a lot of fun! Ladies meeting, Jovenes, and perfecting my manual driving skills with my sweet friend and new teacher. Thank you Katie!!

Yesterday was my first official day of language school at the Peru Bible College with my kind and patient teacher, Nataly! Please pray the Lord would give me the language quickly!

What an amazing first week in Arequipa, Peru!! I have enjoyed meeting new people, making friends, learning new words, and worshipping with believers at Omega Baptist Church! Would you pray with us that God would provide the funds and property for Omega to have a church building? He is faithful!

On December 31, 2020, I left the US and arrived in Arequipa, Peru on January 1, 2021!! Literally a new year, new country, and a new home!! I'm so excited to be here, and so thankful for all of those who are faithfully praying and supporting me!! God has worked in some amazing ways these past few years, and I am looking forward to what he is going to continue to do!! He is faithful!! 1 Thessalonians 5:24

Saturday outreach with these sweet girls! Then, some awesome tacos and ice cream at the heladeria, where we met the owners Miguel and Minerva and were able to get to know them a little and invite them to church! Please pray they would come, hear the Gospel, and be saved!!
