ACK Delays Due To IRS MeF Technical Issue The IRS is currently experiencing technical difficulties and has asked all transmitters to temporarily stop transmitting while it works to resolve the issue. Expect the backlog to cause ACK delays. We will let you know when the issue is resolved.

e-File Update: The Modernized e-File system was successfully brought back online late last night (11pm EST). We expect processing to return to normal today; however, there could be some delays in receiving acknowledgements while the IRS works through the backlog. Happy Friday!

e-File Update: The IRS has taken down the Modernized e-File system to resolve an issue with generating acknowledgements. You can continue to send returns to us... (Drake), but processing at the IRS is on hold until the issue is resolved. We will process returns and acknowledgments as soon as the IRS resumes production. See more

Delayed Forms Update: IRS will start accepting returns (all types) with Form 4562 (Depreciation) on 2/10 and returns with Form 8863 (Education Credits) on 2/14.... After downloading the update, you can start transmitting returns with Form 4562 and Form 8863 to Drake, and we will start sending to IRS on the appropriate start date (10th and 14th). New projected start for the remainder of the delayed forms: first week of March (no specific date set).
