Getting barns, arena and horses ready for camp. Today we worked with the horses mostly. The most amazing thing to me is the language you are creating with the horses. It's so interesting to see the changes in the human and the horse once a dialog is created. Even watching my own daughter ask more politely, waiting for a response and then really rewarding (even getting excited for the horse over the right answer). I literally watched her (my daughter) change, I saw a soft...ness overtake her and the horse REALLY REALLY try for her. This goes WAY beyond horses. It's just learning how to interact with others differently. To consider the other being.....to try another way to communicate other than brace or force. I didn't get a picture of Lindy working with Dave, I just watched from a far and took it all in. A friend came to work with Smokey who is looking calm, relaxed and confident and to help get the barn classroom ready! SO thankful for helpers. :) See more

She's here!!! Meet Robin! She is a rescue horse from "Save the Horses" who will be spending the summer with us! Coming to our farm will allow her to get much more hands on training and experiences. Our goal is to work with her often, give her loads of opportunities to meet kids and to get her trained and ready for her one day forever home. We are so excited for this journey!!!
