Madison County EMS was treated to a delicious lunch today in honor of EMS week. Thank you Sheriff Michael Moore and Madison County Sheriff’s Office for the wonderful fish fry. It was an afternoon of good food and good fellowship.

It is with great sadness and quite a bit of shock that we announce the unexpected passing of one of our own. Sean Crowe passed away suddenly while at his home on Saturday night. We held off posting anything for a few days to allow his family from out of state to be notified. Sean served his country by performing multiple tours of duty with the United States Army; he served his communities working in both fire and EMS. Sean has been with MCEMS for several years, both part and full-time. He had a brilliant mind, witty tongue, and a huge heart. He has left a hole in this service that will not be able to be filled. Information about services honoring him will be posted as they arise.

*Community Shout-Out* Sometimes it’s the small things that make a big impact... first, we would like to thank everyone in our community for playing their part in being safe and protecting others during this pandemic. Our EMS crews are also doing their best, with new changes and research coming everyday from DPH and CDC, it’s quite a task to stay on top of it. Today, the Danielsville Subway took the time to recognize those efforts by supplying our crews with lunches. We want to thank them for their appreciation of our work!

Department of Public Health information regarding Covid-19. Madison County EMS is making every attempt to stay on top of new recommendations regarding the Covid-19 outbreak. As a Public Safety Agency we have been, and will remain to be, in direct communications with DPH to receive the most up to date information. It is important to note that, at this time, testing is not available at local hospitals and is being conducted by the CDC and Dept of Public Health, under specific criteria.

Yesterday and Today, Madison County EMS hosted the Pediatric Advanced Life Support class. The focus was to update the certification of our Paramedics with this annual training, in the skills and equipment needed to provide the best possible care for our pediatric population.

Thank to to the good people of Dainelsville Evangelical for feeding Madison County Public Safety for Christmas. It’s very much appreciated.

Madison County EMS was proud to accept the MC Road Depts Food Bank Challenge, and our Paramedics did not disappoint! Thank you to ALL who participates throughout our county! Let’s finish this thing off strong with a call out on The Madison County Board of Education!
