Our Tea Time Gathering is a simple check in for our Maha Moon new parenting community as well as anyone to our tribe that may benefit from postpartum support. I’ll share special herbal tea recipes to support postpartum health and boost breast milk! In addition, I’ll provide information and explanation of some of Maha Moon’s Yoga, Pilates and Ayurvedic offerings. Partners and siblings are welcome to join too! It's OK if you haven't showered or if baby is sleeping, feeding, p...ooping or crying, just come! The intent isn't to stress you out, but the intent is to be in good company with your parenting peers in the comfort of your home. DM me for zoom link. Also, just a quick reminder that all of our Postpartum/Baby and Me classes have resumed from holiday hiatus. Crossing thethreshold into new parenthood isn't always easy so I want to check in and see and hear all the highs and lows from all of you. The postpartum period can be one of the most isolating times for #birthingpersons evenmore so due to #winter, #socialdistancing and covid. So I am inviting you to a special Baby & Me Tea Online Gathering on Friday January 15th at 10 am. Let's connect and catch up. Partners are welcome to join too! It's OK if you haven't showered or ...if baby is sleeping, feeding, pooping or crying, just come! The intent isn't to stress you out, but the intent is to be in good company with your parenting peers in the comfort of your home. DM me for zoom links. As a newparent, your focus has significantlyshifted from caring for your pregnancy to caring for your baby. Often, identity can get lost and the concept of self-care is important, but taking time to care for yourself while caring for your child can lend to feelings of just one more thing to your "to-do" list and feelings of not measuring up. Remember that #selfcare can be as simple as fewpresent moments in the shower while you feel the warm water rolling down your skin, sitting down and savoring a healthy meal cooked by someone else and thoroughly chewing your food, or as simple as one minute of deep conscious breathing. Britta Bushnell writes in her book Transformed by Birth: Self-care can be made up of small moments rather than grand gestures. Think of self-care as a moment of remembering to be in your own body. Notice what you are feeling, breathe a deeper breath and inhale a smell you enjoy - one that reminds you that being human isn't all about baby poop and spit-up. Self-care doesn't necessarily require a babysitter or even time alone. It can simply be opening yourself to your own bodily experience and turning toward a moment of enjoyment. I invite you to make a ritual of turning toward yourself as a regular practice beyond the list of self-care activities adorning social media. What are your self-care #rituals? Your idea you may fuel #inspiration for another birthing parent in our village. For me having fresh flowers in the house brings me #joy #mahamoon #postpartum

During this time of year, may we follow Nature’s cues to be in darkness, turn inward, take rest, reflect, go deep with yin yoga, meditation and chant to find the light within. The winter solstice celebrates the return of hope as Earth experiences the first slow turn towards greater warmth and more light with each new day. The need for withdrawal is an essential part of renewal. So embody Winter's wisdom and celebrate the season by kindling your own inner light while rejoicin...g in the light of others in our virtual gathering. Sunday, December 20th from 4 - 530 pm Visit https://www.mahamoon.com and select BOOK NOW to register. Investment = $25* *All workshops, classes, packages subscriptions and private sessions are currently 20% off through the holidays by using GIFT2020 code. BONUS!!! The first 5 registrations will receive a complimentary Young Living Christmas Spirit Essential Oil Blend. Props are always helpful, so gather 2 blankets or beach towels, a candle, journal and position yourself near a wall.
