We are excited to announce the promotion of Michael McDowell to the rank of Corporal! Mike, or as many lovingly call him, Mike on the Bike, has been with the... department since 2016. He has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. He is also currently working toward more degrees. Mike has been instrumental in the development of the C.O.P.S. Unit (Community Oriented Police Services-formerly the Bicycle Unit). Mike is a go-getter and puts his heart into anything and everything he does. He is very active in the UWG community, as well. He loves the Carrollton community and the community loves him. We are fortunate to have him as part of this family. McDowell will serve the COPS Unit as Corporal. Congratulations, Corporal McDowell! See more
