To mitigate the burden of COVID-19 within the underserved communities near Augusta, the 100 Black Men of Augusta aims: 1) to provide free COVID-19 testing, 2) disseminate COVID-19 health information through health pamphlets, and 3) increase healthy and preventive health behaviors by supplying PPE (facemasks and hand sanitizer). We will meet people where they are by implementing testing and dissemination of health information at 10 local churches and barbershops during the Fall/Winter season of 2020-2021.
