They just cannot get it right, and people are suffering. Why in the world would you send an individual's stimulus check to their tax preparer? Here in Atlanta they sent over $300K of clients refunds to a tax service. Why would the IRS not verify that the funds were going to individual bank accounts.That is why I do not issue Rapid Refunds, Process Checks or issue Money Cards. From the IRS to the client....is my motto.

The Treasury Department and the IRS announced this week that distribution of Economic Impact Payments will begin in the next three weeks and will be distributed automatically, with no action required for most people. More information on these payments, as well as other relief pertaining to COVID-19, will be posted to IRS.gov/coronavirus as it becomes available.
