Lydia Qualheim made a special trip to Phoebe today to deliver diapers, preemie outfits, and snacks for patients and staff in our NICU. Chris and Lydia's son Oliver was born November 6 at 33 weeks gestation in Thomasville, GA. Oliver was quickly transported to Albany to receive expert care in our NICU. It was an extremely scary and uncertain time for the Qualheim family, but the NICU staff helped bring peace and comfort. "The amazing staff not only took care of our baby boy, ...but looked out for my husband and I as well. They were patient, kind, and treated us as family." Lydia shared. After 29 days in the NICU, Oliver was healthy enough to go home. "We will never forget the angels that continue to work day in and day out for all the sweet babies!" As the season of promise, each spring brings an annual celebration of life, Phoebe's Paver Dedication Ceremony. We will be cutting off paver purchases for the 2021 Celebration of Life on January 31, 2021. The ceremony will look a little different this year, but we will still be able to celebrate each paver being installed later this Spring. You may visit www.supportphoebe.org/pavers to order a paver to memorialize the birth of a baby, a memorial to a loved one, or a special "thank you" to a friend or medical professional. All proceeds benefit Phoebe's spiritual care program.

Did you know we have 17 Dairy Queen locations across Southwest Georgia that fundraise for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at Phoebe? Dairy Queen is a national partner of CMN and they fundraise throughout the year with their annual Miracle Treat Day, balloon icon campaign, round up campaign, coin canisters, and other special fundraisers. We want to thank Dairy Queen for helping kids like Ava and Gage (pictured), who were born 13 weeks early and weighed only 20 ounces each! Because of Dairy Queen's support and generous donations, we are able to provide life-saving equipment in our NICU to help our smallest patients! We love you and thank you DQ!
