EFFECTIVE AS OF Monday 3/23/2020: The office will be closed due to the recommendations of the CDC, the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association. We hope to reopen in two weeks. If you have a dental infection or an abscess emergency, please leave a message on our voicemail. The health of our patients and employees is our number one priority. We will be in communication with patients, as things may change. Thank you for your patience during these uncertain times. Please be well and stay safe.
Your Health and Wellness is Our Priority at Plus One Dental The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) have been closely monitoring and responding to the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19 caused by the novel coronavirus. Based on guidelines set by the CDC and the DPH, the following protocols will be implemented in our office effective immediately. Patients who believe they are showing signs of infection, or who live with ...someone with symptoms, will be asked to reschedule their appointments and stay home. This is especially true if you have fever, cough, shortness of breath or trouble breathing. Call your physician's office before going in for an appointment to minimize exposure risk to those in your community. Help us prevent the spread of viruses through good hand hygiene, avoid touching your face and placing fingers in your mouths and please understand our team will refrain from handshakes. Hand sanitizer will be offered to all patients at the end of your appointment and is available throughout the office. Inform us if you have traveled out of the country recently and reschedule your appointment to ensure you are symptom-free if you have traveled to a high-risk location within the last 14 days including China, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam. We will continue to practice strict universal infection control protocols in our office, as we always have, for your safety. Your health and well-being, as well as that of our team, are our primary concern and we thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your healthcare team!
From all of us at Plus One Dental, we wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving! **The office will be closed Thursday 11/29 and Friday 11/30. We will resume normal business hours on Monday 12/2.
September is National Gum Care Month! Make sure you're taking care of your gums by doing these steps: 1. Floss Floss at least once a day!... 2. Get regular dental cleanings Your dentist can detect early gum disease symptoms if you see them on a regular basis. 3. Quit smoking! Yet another reason for smokers to quit: Smoking is strongly associated with the onset of gum disease. 4. Brush twice a day Brush your teeth after every meal. This helps remove the food and plaque trapped between your teeth and gums. 5. Use fluoride toothpaste As for toothpaste, store shelves are lined with brands that claim to reduce gingivitis, freshen breath, and whiten teeth. 6. Use a therapeutic mouthwash Usually available over the counter, therapeutic mouthwashes can help reduce plaque, prevent or reduce gingivitis, reduce the speed that tartar develops, or a combination of these benefits, according to the ADA. Happy National Gum Care Month!
