A pair of Detroit natives decided to combat neighborhood blight in a pretty sweet way by transforming abandoned vacant lots in their city into honeybee farms.... Detroit Hives, a nonprofit organization founded by Timothy Paule and Nicole Lindsey in 2017, purchases vacant properties and remodels them into fully functioning bee farms.

We'd add taking long walks, hikes to parks, and just enjoying the native plants in your own yard. (If only it would stop raining in some areas ....)

Holland has covered thousands of bus stops with plants, as a gift to the bees.

The College's Farmers Market, which kicks off its spring season TOMORROW, is a great place for students to find fresh, local produce and products.
