I am asked at different times, "What's going on at the farm?" Well, something is going on all the time! Right now , we are planting little trees for harvest in 2026! Over 1200 in the ground so farm and more to go! Another task coming up soon is the potting up of some 800 liners (baby trees) to put in the nursery for setting out next year. We will have another shipment of about 1000 coming up in July. Yep, a lot of work. All this warm weather lately is reminding me that mowin...g in the fields is coming soon. That is a favorite job for one of my workers as well. (Hint..Hint) Then comes trimming our trees. Only a couple of thousand maybe. Then.......Well, you get the picture. Simply email the farm at [email protected] and include your phone contact number. The application will be attached to a reply to the email you used for request. We will be sending them out over the next few days as requests come in. Remember this is a "juried" event, so you will be notified in a few weeks if accepted. We will be accepting payment at that time. Looking like it will be a great event!! Feel free to share with others.

Yes, we have been planting trees for our 2026 harvest, or at least as weather would allow. Nonetheless, we have a big ANNOUNCEMENT- The Second Annual Raulston Acres Craft Fair is scheduled for May 21, 2022 (third Sat. in May) !! Preliminary planning looks like it will be bigger and better than ever!! Be looking for more information as the date gets closer and plans take shape. Be sure to be looking for more on You Tube and Instagram

Farm Friends- This is a test of honesty, and it might help a family too. Today I found some money on the farm. If you are the family (I am almost sure it is a family) that lost some money out of their pocket here at our farm, please reply. In order to filter out those who would try to scam others (especially at Christms) we are asking that you verify the amount, the bill denomination, and time here visiting the farm. We hope we find the right person or family. Serious reply only please.Thank you.

It's January and it's supposed to be cold, right? Well, the work goes on- Fertilizer order made. Planting in full swing. Plans being made for our upcoming announcement....What? Have I not shared this yet? Well, I can't share just yet, but it looks like our "Red barn" will be in full use. Give us a couple of weeks. You will want to be a part of it! (No more hints) More info soon!

Well, the season is over and what a season it was! We are so thankful for the great turnout! Glad to see and make new friends as well as re-connect with old ones. So what are we doing now? Why planting new trees, of course! We took advantage of a couple of 50+degree days and planted 300 new trees for harvest in 2024-2025. No...it never ends here on the farm. Still a lot of planting to go. One bit of NEWS- Stay tuned to our FB posts. There could be some exciting happenings around here in May. We can let the "Cat out of the bag" in a couple of weeks - so keep watching!!

Our trees went to Fort Riley , Kansas. We heard back from a soldier who received one of the trees we shipped. They were so grateful to have trees from back home in Ga. Made it all worthwhile! Thank you all!

Several folks have asked about the movie shot here in Walker County and at the farm. There are ways to view it either "on demand" or by purchasing a DVD. It releases on November 17th. The picture below lists places that will carry it. We might even have a few copies after we open.

I know, I know... It's not even Halloween yet. But I was just looking at our calendar and saw that it is less than 4 weeks until our farm opens for the 2020 season!!! WOW !! We open November 21st! Oh my, we had better get moving and get things ready!! It's going to be Great! See you soon!

Still need sponsors for trees in our Trees for Troops effort here on the farm. Our annual goal is 30 and we currently stand at 7. Many of our customers donated last year and we hope to hear from them soon. I am reminded of one of our customers from a couple of years ago that told me that they were the recipient of a tree in this program and how much they appreciated it. It could only be possible with sponsorships. Let's do this!! Thanks!!

Opening in 30 days!! Wow! We've got to get in high gear!

4 updates from the farm- (1) Don't forget you can donate to our Trees for Troops efforts through our website at ractf.com (2) If you are wanting to learn more about making you own wreath this Christmas, sign up for one of our wreath making classes through our website. Dec.1 is the date! (3) If you were wanting to cut a 7-8 ft tree from our farm this year or a 9-10 foot tree, we have them!!! Many farm trees come in larger sizes due to the great growing weather. (4) Fraser fir...s are in high demand and supply is hard to get, especially in larger sizes. We will have mostly sizes 7-9 ft. If you have not reserved that larger tree already, you might want to plan on a smaller size OR choose and cut one of our farm grown varieties! ONLY 5 weeks until OPENING DAY!!

It's October ! Time to launch our 2020 campaign for Trees for Troops! Just to remind everyone, Trees for Troops is a program that helps provide live Christmas trees to active duty military families at various bases around the country (and some overseas). By donating $30 - the wholesale cost and cost of preparing a tree for shipment- you can provide a tree to an active duty military family. We do not know the exact base that Fed Ex will deliver our trees to yet, but we do know... our goal is 30 trees again this year. To donate by check, you can make the check to Raulston Acres Christmas Tree Farm , put "Trees for Troops" in the memo part of the check, and mail to Raulston Acres, 737 Hankins Road, Rock Spring, GA 30739. OR - be looking for a donation button on our website (ractf.com) and donate by credit card. Either way we can mail you a receipt as long as we have your mailing address or email address. Another Quick Update- We will be kicking off our annual Trees for Troops promotion in October. We are asking folks to sponsor a real tree that will be donated to a military family at a selected base. The cost is $30, and this will cover the cost of the tree , preparation for transport and transportation to the selected base. We do this each year to honor our active duty men and women in uniform, since some may not have a Christmas tree otherwise. Stay tuned for this and how to donate in coming posts. Our goal is 30 trees. Watch for our posts in October.

Quick update- Been in the fields trimming and can see that we will have several trees in the fields 7,8, 9 and 10 ft in the Murray Cypress variety! Likely the most size variety we have had ever.. Still have some good 6-7 footers too. Small er sizes in Carolina sapphire and blue ice due to past sales. Good Virginia Pines in 7 ft -8 ft range. While it is going to be a "different" year with all that has gone on, we will be bigger, better and ready for opening November 21! Stay tuned for more updates.

Just a follow up to my previous post- For those wanting to choose and cut a 9ft. + tree this year, we've got your tree! Over 100 of this size to choose from!! Most we've ever had! (We have a lot of 6 ft-9 ft sizes as well.) More trees available than ever!! Wow what a harvest season to come! Only about 12 weeks to go!!
