After 30+ years Sandersville Family Practice is loosing a valuable member of our staff. Genny Everett is retiring to spend more time with her husband and be GIGI to her precious grandchildren. She has been a great employee and friend. She has always been there for me, the practice, and my children. We all hate to see her go but wish her much happiness. Loyal hard-working employees are hard to come by, and she embodies all of the best characteristics one could ever wish. You will be dearly missed. We hope you will visit frequently and remember you will always be part of the SFPC family.

I would like to thank Stacey Williford for her 8+ years of service. She did a great job of providing outstanding care during her time with my practice. Although we will miss her, we are happy for her and the new endeavor she has chosen. I am currently interviewing nurse practitioners and hopefully will fill her position soon. My entire staff will continue to strive to meet all of your medical needs. Thank you for your confidence and support for the past 34 years and we look forward to many more.

It looks like COVID19 will be with us for a while but we are open and taking unprecedented precautions to ensure your safety. We are screening everyone for COVID 19 symptoms and if positive are evaluating them in their car or giving them a mask and escorting them to an exam room. Exam rooms are cleaned after each patient and the office is thoroughly cleaned twice daily. Your health is our priority and we will continue these measures as long as necessary.

Unless you’ve been in a coma, I’m sure you’ve seen Dr. Deborah Birx (WH Corona virus task force) speak. In case you don’t know, I thought I would share a very important story of her family. In 1918, when her mother was 11 years old she brought the flu home from school and infected Dr. Birx’s grandmother who died. She had to live the rest of her life with the fact that it was she who caused her mother’s death. Don’t be this person, if you’re not concerned about your health, consider those around you. I can’t imagine what a burden she carried the rest of her life. Please think before you act carelessly.
