Hey, we're not scared to admit it -- Halloween is one of our absolute favorite days at Shepherd Center! It might have looked a little different this year, but that didn't stop us from celebrating. Whether working onsite or remotely, our staff got in the spirit with costumes ranging from spooky to silly and everything in between. Stay safe, and happy Halloween, everybody!

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Travis Roy, a former Shepherd Center patient and friend, as well as a philanthropist who dedicated his life after injury to helping others with spinal cord injury. After sustaining a spinal cord injury in 1995 during a hockey game playing for Boston University, Travis founded the Travis Roy Foundation, eventually raising millions to fund spinal cord injury research and provide equipment for others with spinal cord injury. On behalf of the Shepherd Center team and the many Shepherd Center patients he helped through his foundation thank you. Our thoughts and prayers are with Travis’ family and friends. https://www.bostonglobe.com//travis-roy-wasnt-heavy-he-wa/

It's National Physical Therapy Month! We LOVE our awesome PTs, and they have a huge role in helping build the bridge from '"I can't" to "I can," for our patients across all of our programs. Give your favorite PT a shout-out in the comments!
