Perciaccante, DDS, FACS, on his ascension to vice president of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). Dr. Perciaccante is a managing partner of and surgeon with South Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, a USOSM partner practice with three locations in the Atlanta, Georgia, area. ABOMS is the certifying board for oral and maxillofacial surgery in the... U.S. It is recognized and approved by the American Dental Association’s Council on Dental Education, and its mission is to assure the public of safe and optimal care through the development and maintenance of certification and recertification programs that adhere to the highest standards. Dr. Perciaccante has been actively involved with ABOMS for a number of years. He is a diplomate for the organization, and most recently served as a director. Prior to that, he served on the ABOMS examination committee. He also serves in leadership roles for a number of other professional organizations and is an adjunct associate professor of surgery at Emory University School of Medicine, supervising surgery residents at Grady Memorial Hospital and the Atlanta VA Medical Center.
