We all had a great day celebrating Book Character Day together in a new way today! Thanks to everyone who could drive through we loved seeing each of you! Tomorrow is double the fun as we wear our hair CrAzY for Red Ribbon Week and wear Mercer gear to celebrate the Univeristy’s Homecoming this weekend! Springdale is thankful for the impact Mercer has on our community and in our school! We have many Mercer graduates working at Springdale and several student teachers currently enrolled at Mercer and serving in our building.

Join us tomorrow (Wednesday, October 28) for our Drive Thru "Book or Treat" from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Dress as a book character and come by to be "treated" by our Springdale staff. We have changed the location to the CAR POOL LANE due to the possibility of rain. The event will be held rain or shine! Parents, take a picture of your child in costume with the book featuring their character and send it to your child's teacher by the end of the day on Wednesday. The pictures will be put together for a virtual Book Character Parade video to be shown on Friday.

We are excited for those P-2 children’s families who chose the face-to-face option to be returning November 9th! We can’t wait!

Red Ribbon Week is this Friday 10/23 through next Friday 10/30. Celebrate healthy choices with us by having your student dress up daily!

Tonight is our Virtual Parent Workshop Night! Join us at 5:30 p.m. to learn more about the academic expectations and curriculum for each grade level this school year. Each grade will host its own virtual meeting via Microsoft Teams. Your child's teacher will send you an invitation to log in to the meeting for your child's grade level. Those who join and sign in will be entered in a drawing for prizes, including the grand prize of a $25 Amazon giftcard!

Save the Date! Student-led conferences will be held with students, parents, and teachers on the week of November 2-6. Parents and caregivers will receive an online form from your child's teacher to sign up for a time to meet on the designated grade level day. November 2 - PreK and Kindergarten November 3 - 1st grade and 2nd grade November 5 - 3rd grade and 4th grade November 6 - 5th grade and Access

This is National Principals Month, and the students of Bibb County are fortunate to have the school leadership that is in place. We are grateful for each of these administrators and all of their hard work!
