Good Afternoon Savannah State University Campus Community Severe Weather Warning:... Today there will be a chance of heavy rain, scattered thunderstorms and possible lightning, for the Coastal Georgia area and the Low Country. This will affect our campus. There will be a possibility of isolated thunderstorms later on this afternoon. We want everyone to be aware of the inclement weather and take the necessary precautions. 1. Avoid areas subject to sudden flooding 2. Stay away from down power lines and electrical wires 3. Wear appropriate outdoor clothing or waterproof clothing (rain jacket) We are encouraging all faculty/staff/students to access the university website as well as CEMA, and your local news for further updates on this inclement weather.
