My What a Unforgettable Year we have endured. For Survivors Outreach Center Inc. The effects were felt. One, half of the organization has been shut down because of pandemic . This resulted in the loss of extra income for 7 people. It also meant Less Money being made to assist those in need of food, clothing, gift cards, Money for short stay at hotels for many families. The normal that we were used to is no longer. Second, we cannot leave our homes without remembering to take... face masks and hand sanitizer, and when we venture out we can’t get close to anyone to even give a hug . So many people have died and continue to die and this year has made many of us (or should have) look at life, family, differently. The many sayings from our ancestors Showed Up and Showed Out. With all that has happened this year, we still continued to help our communities as much as we can. When we were running low on food in the pantry you showed up, when we ran low on money to pay for the office and staff you showed up. Although we are struggling WE ARE STILL HERE FOR YOU. The donors who showed up and didn’t give up on us, WE THANK YOU AND APPRECIATE YOU FOR SHOWING UP. Today, with the help of our Wonderful Donors we were able to collaborate and provide GIFTS, FOOD to the community. Thank you donors from the bottom of our hearts. Our Elves were Great Helpers as well. See more
