The Oaks Nursing and Personal Care Home

Thank you, Five Points Pharmacy, for providing The Oaks Personal Care Home residents and staff with our first round of Vaccines! We are very thankful for your partnership throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and excited for 2021! The Oaks Nursing Home will be receiving vaccines for all its residents and staff on Friday, 1/8/2020. This is a two dose vaccination process, which means by February 1st all residents and staff will have had the option to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Thank you all for your continued support and trust!

The Oaks Folks would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas! This has been a very difficult year, but we are very hopeful to see a better year in 2021! Merry Christmas to all!

Every year we always have an amazing Christmas Dinner with all our resident friends and family, this year was a little sad because of COVID-19. But we didn’t let it get us down! The women had a spa day getting their hair, nails, and makeup done and dressed in their best Christmas outfits. The men looked handsome in their best with a shave and hairs cuts. A big thank you to the staff and dietary department for providing an amazing array of food and desserts! Thank you to everyone that made this day so special.

When The Oaks Nursing Home lost Larry Daniels this past year, we lost a valued and loved member of The Oaks family. Larry was special. He loved to laugh and you never saw him without a smile. His absence has left an empty place at The Oaks, especially during this Christmas season. We wanted to do something to remember Larry, our special co-worker and friend. Because 2020 has been such a different and difficult year, we have to do some things a little differently to celebrate ...Christmas here. This year, we are hiding our own Elf on the Shelf, for employees and residents to find for prizes. This has been a fun activity, the only problem was, that we didn’t have a name for our elf. Then, it was suggested that we name our elf Larry after our own Larry Daniels! What a perfect way to remember Larry’s happy and sweet spirit! So, look for posts on our Elf on the Shelf, Larry, and see the unusual places he’s been found and the sweet and happy spirit Larry Daniels exemplified every day of his life. See more

A special thank you to Les Gachot and Polly Clark for the beautiful hand painted Christmas ornaments you gave. Our residents loved them and was very excited to hang them up. It’s wonderful people like you two that helps make our residents feel special and loved.

As many of you know, The Oaks lost a very special member of our work family last week. Larry was an absolute joy to all of us! He will be missed more than words can even say! We hope that you enjoy this tribute to Larry!
