The Administrative Office of the Tyrone Police Department will be closed Thursday Nov. 26th and Friday Nov. 27th. We will reopen on Monday Nov. 30th at 8 am. If it is an emergency and you need an officer, please dial 911. For non-emergency situations that an officer is needed, you can call the non-emergency line of our dispatch center at 770.461.4357 The administrators and officers want to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving Holiday.

The Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services will be testing sirens in the southern part of Fayette County between 1:00pm and 3:00pm tomorrow (O...ctober 15, 2020). PLEASE DO NOT CALL 911 IN REFERENCE TO THIS TEST. Call 911 only in the event of an actual emergency. #ThisIsOnlyATest #WeatherReady #EmegencyPreparedness

**** UPDATE: POWER HAS BE RESTORED **** A tree has fallen on the power lines in the area of Senoia Road and Castlewood Road. Power is out from the area of Tyrone Road south to the city limits. EMC is clear on the situation and is on the way to restore power. The traffic lights are out at the intersections if 74 n Tyrone Road and 74 n Dogwood Trail. Use caution when traveling through these intersections please. 1404

Don't forget the Sandy Creek High School Homecoming Parade is this morning at 10am. The parade will start at Tyrone Elementary and go north on Senoia Road and end at Handley Park. The roads will be closed just before 10am, so please make adjustments if you live in the area and need to get in or out.

Thank you to Fayette Daybreak Rotary Club for their donation of stuffed animals for our patrol cars. They are such an excellent resource to children who are experiencing trauma or fear.

These keys were placed in our drop box over the weekend. If you are or know Clark Kent please contact the Tyrone Public Library. (Seriously, if these are your keys, we have them for you!)

Tyrone will be offering early voting, Monday through Friday, October 12th 30th. Early voting will take place in the Council Chambers, located at 881 Senoia Road. In the first two weeks, the hours will be 8:00 am 5:00 pm. The last week will be 7:00 am 5:00 pm. Saturday, October 24th will be offered with the hours of 9:00 am 4:00 pm. Early voting will also be offered through Peachtree City and Fayetteville. Please adhere to Governor Kemp’s social distancing order and the use of masks. You also have the option of absentee voting. We are also looking at the possibility of a ballot box to be housed at the current Police Department for your convenience.
