Announcement!!!!! Please Share!!! PRE THANKSGIVING FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM..... We have been selected to receive an entire tractor trailer load of food for distribution in our community on the day before Thanksgiving !!!!!!!!... Wednesday November 25....10:30 am Thomaston Upson Civic Center Soccer Complex.....101 Civic Center Drive - THOMASTON Rain or Shine. 1300 boxes 35lb each. Meat, dairy, fruit and vegetables. The Upson County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with F.A.T. Ministries of Bolingbroke Ga., the Farmer’s to Families Food Box Program and the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia to sponsor a food distribution program for Upson County. This week we will distribute 1300 boxes of food, weighing 30-35 pounds per box, on a first come first served basis. The boxes will contain meat, fruit, vegetables and milk. Distribution will begin at 10:30 this coming Wednesday - November 25 at the Thomaston-Upson Soccer Complex located behind the Civic Center in Thomaston. The address is 101 Civic Center Drive. Participants should drive to the rear of the civic center and follow the signs to the distribution point located at the soccer field concession stand. Volunteers from local churches will load the boxes into your vehicle in a drive-thru format. We are honored to participate in this much needed event in our community.
