COVID-19 UPDATE We continue our commitment to keeping you informed regarding the COVID-19 status in the facility. Unfortunately, after over 4 months without any residents testing positive for COVID-19 and over 9 months since our initial outbreak, we had a resident test positive yesterday. All other residents in the building remain negative. The resident that tested positive is completely asymptomatic and has been moved to our dedicated COVID-19 unit with dedicated staffing. ... As Butts County’s positivity rating continues to fluctuate, we are prepared to treat our residents if we should have any additional positive COVID-19 Cases. Units are dedicated for COVID-19 positive residents and we have dedicated staff trained and prepared to care for these residents. We have PPE, testing, and other supplies in stock and ready for use. Effective today, we are stopping all outdoor and window visits until further notice. Our goal is to keep all residents in their rooms as much as possible while we continue to assess, monitor, and test residents and staff. We will re-evaluate visits next week and will continue to offer FaceTime, Phone Visits, and Video Chats. Should you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to reach out to myself, Octeria Odom, Director of Nursing, or Laura Barber, ADON, Infection Preventionists. Please mask up, use good hand hygiene, and follow all social distancing guidelines. We appreciate your prayers, support, and kind words as our staff and residents are tired and growing weary continuing to fight this battle that keeps attacking the population we serve. 12.6.2020 COVID-19 Weekly Update As we continue to be transparent in regards to the COVID-19 status at the facility, we are proud to announce that we do not have any additional resident or staff cases in the facility! We continue to follow all of the guidelines set forth by the CDC, DPH, and CMS. The facility is awaiting Butts County’s positivity rating for the week in hopes that we can start supervised indoor visitation this week. Please stay posted as we are in prayer that... these can start on 12/9/2020 by appointment only. Again, these visits are completely dependent upon the county positivity rating which we have no control over. As soon as we know our rating, we will post to the Facebook page and website so you can call to schedule an appointment. We must stay continue to vigilant in following the recommendations set forth to us by our governing authorities so we can keep our residents as safe as possible!
