Wolf Creek Trout Lily Preserve

Come see us next week, when the sun is shining...

A couple of volunteers have checked on the Preserve yesterday and today. Even though sunshine these past two days, it still is very wet on trails and the lower trail remains impassable. We are expecting rain tomorrow so will assess conditions on Friday. The earliest we will open the gates is Saturday. We appreciate everyone’s patience in our efforts to provide a safe environment for the flowers and Preserve, and those who want to visit. #troutlily2021, #wolfcreek2021

The Preserve will continue to be closed this week. Rain is expected later today, maybe tomorrow and definitely Thursday. The ground is saturated and the flowers are remaining closed. Keep following and hopefully soon the sun will shine. #wolfcreek2021, #troutlily2021

Rain all throughout the day, the Preserve will be closed this weekend and Monday, will provide another update at that time. Ground is very wet and soggy, slope trails are exposed and slippery... #wolfcreek2021, #troutlily2021

Today we finalized placing signs and checked the trails. As you can see there are a few trout lilies blooming with the sunshine today. At this time, the lower trail is closed and the gates will remain closed this week due to expected rain beginning tomorrow through next Thursday. If the weather changes, we will post here to let you know. Please check this page daily as we will monitor conditions and keep everyone informed.... If questions, you can comment or send a message, we will respond. Again we have not planned tours this year due to COVID-19.
