Our club was honored to have District Governor Steve Barnes visit our "in person" monthly meeting at the Pond. The meeting was also available through zoom to those members that were unable to attend. He inducted Chrissy Miner as our newest member and presented Perfect Attendance Awards. We kept him "very busy" but it was great for the DG bring a personal district touch to our activities. Thank you Steve!!!
Chrissy Miner was recently inducted into membership of the Warner Robins Rotary Club by District 6920 Governor Steve Barnes. She is well known by all for her past successful experiences as President/CEO of the Museum of Aviation and as President of 21st Century Partnership. She has now formed the Miner Agency which offers a wide ranging array of effective solutions to support the local business community. Welcome into the Club Chrissy!!!
The Warner Robins Rotary Club recently inducted Andrew and Brittany Bennett into our club. They are attorneys practicing law in the local area. They are associated with Bennett Law and Mediation Services in Warner Robins. Rotary is now a family affair to Andrew and Brittany!!
The Club recently participated in the Community Fun Festival held at the Curtis Event Center. There was much fun and entertainment for all plus ample treats for the children. The event provided Rotarians the opportunity to spread our "service organization" story. Additionally, the event was an opportunity for many entrepreneurs to show their wares and capabilities to the public. Thank you Rotarian Laura Curtis for this opportunity!!
Happy Birthday, Roland Berry. Life begins at 70!
Rotary club members from the Byron, Centerville, Perry and Warner Robins clubs came together on Monday, September 21st to unveil two recently installed billboards with the message Believe There is Good in the World. The four area clubs collaborated on the billboard project to celebrate International Day of Peace. Area Rotary Assistant Governor, Felix Smith was there for the celebration and said, In today’s environment of Covid-19 and dissentious politics, societies are spl...intering as forces of division are driving people in different directions. The message reminds us that no matter how dire our personal, national, or global problems seem, there is good that lives around us. Warner Robins Rotary Club President, Steve Williams, said their club made the decision to become involved in the project to highlight the unity, diversity, inclusion, and equity within the Rotary community in our area. It is during times like we are currently experiencing, that we must promote unity and peace to everyone regardless of race, creed, religion, gender, or culture. Byron Club president, Billy Johnson, was there representing his club and said it was an honor to be part of sharing this positive message to the millions of people that travel through our communities. As Rotarians, we are encouraged to find ways to improve the quality of life for people in our communities and to serve the public interest. I think the message on the billboard does just that by bringing hope, encouraging thought, and maybe a smile to those who see it. The two billboards are located just off the Perry exit on I-75 and can be seen driving north and south. See more
