We are just jolly to share that our friends at Broadstone Sugar Hill are helping us connect our Sugar Hill community with the big man himself! Santa has made time in his busy holiday schedule to virtually visit with a few good Sugar Hill boys and girls on December 10th. To reserve your FREE virtual visit with Santa, please go to the link below to select an available time starting at 4:15 pm. In an effort to allow Santa the opportunity to visit with as many families as possibl...e, we ask that virtual visits are limited to one per household. After registration, you will receive an email with instructions on how to join the call. Additionally, we invite everyone to join us for a special reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by Santa himself! This stream will be available on the City of Sugar Hill’s Instagram Live and Facebook Live. We recommend tuning in at 6:45 pm to make sure you don’t miss a minute before the guy with the jolly laugh has to return to business at the North Pole. No registration is required for story time. Due to limited availability, you must sign-up if you would like to have a Virtual Visit with Santa. Registration closes end of day December 9th. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d45aba62eaaf4c52-virtual Happy Holidays!

Happy Giving Tuesday! Today, as we conclude our Ducks for Education Fundraiser, we wanted to take a few moments to share a little bit about Parker Killian Moore, whose foundation Parker Killian GIVES Moore is the recipient of our rubber duck fundraising efforts. Through his foundation proceeds will be donated to the Gwinnett Technical College foundation and awarded to Veterinary Technician student(s) in Spring 2021. Over the last few months we have had the pleasure of gettin...g to know his grandmother Gail, who shared with us some kind thoughts and stories about Parker. She has also provided us with photos of some adventures that she has taken her rubber duck friends on this year as an ode to her late grandson. As a reminder, 133% of each duck purchase is donated to Parker's foundation. A special thank you to Quantum National Bank for matching $1.00 of each purchase. https://shopsugarhillga.com/products/ducks-for-education Below are a few places you can find memorialized for Parker with kind words and memories. On a swing placed in his memory at Little Mulberry Park, his employer engraved: "A fiercely unique and shining soul who never met a stranger." On Parker's Trail in Warner Robins, Georgia a 1,100' boardwalk dedicated to Parker and his love of nature reads: "Fiercely unique, loyal, lover of life...nature, music, smiles, long hikes, laughter, all creatures and everyone he met along the way."

Our annual Holiday Celebration is a tradition that we look forward every year. Celebrating the season with thousands of our residents, family, and friends is an incredibly special time for our community that we've enjoyed sharing over the years. This year, we continue to find comfort and joy in connecting with those dear to us, although it may look a little different through the lens of our video chat or at a safe distance. With a focus on safely allowing for celebrations t...his year, we're doing things a bit differently and have made the difficult decision to forgo the traditional Holiday Celebration and tree lighting. Instead, we're excited to partner with the Aurora Theatre to host their annual Christmas Canteen performance in The Bowl on December 4th, 5th, and 6th. Tickets for this unique holiday performance are available online now! Some traditions can't be stopped by Covid-19 though We'll be releasing our free 2020 City of Sugar Hill ornament soon so that you can add to your collection and make sure you never forget this year. As we all navigate this season with care for ourselves, our family, and our community, we encourage you to stay safe and healthy, remember to practice social distancing and wear a mask in public.
