Babysitting is now available during Cardio tennis on Thursday mornings at 10:00am Reservations are a MUST for this one. Please let me know by Tuesday so we can staff appropriately for babysitting in the clubhouse. Sign up is underway for our 2020 annual Toys for Tots doubles tournament. Play is December 5th and 6th with an entry deadline of December 2nd. Division of play include Men's doubles, Ladies doubles and junior doubles with fights based on skill in each. Co-ed teams are welcome to compete in the men's divison.... Entry fee is: $15.00/player + one new unwrapped toy per player. Tennis ball provided with award for winners in each divison. All matches are best two of three sets with a 10pt tie-break if sets are split. For more information please contact Michael in the pro shop!

When should you re-string your tennis racquet? Does your racquet feel soft or spongy when you play? Did it used to feel crisp but doesn't any longer? These are signs it may be time for new strings. A good rule of thumb is to re-string based on how much you play. Play three times a week, re-string three times a year. Let the staff in the pro shop help you fine tune your frame today.

Sunset Hills is excited to announce our victory in the 2020 Carrollton Cup against Oak Mountain with a score of 22-10. Captain Shane Miles and Assistant Captains Johnny Blankenship, Chad Carter, Dr. Joey Entrekin, Chris Laney, and Jay Wade did a fantastic job working and playing alongside Head Golf Professional Justin Japour and Assistant Golf Professional Steven MacPherson to make this a great event! The Sunset Hills golf course was in its best condition under the watchful ...eyes of Golf Course Superintendent Adam Hoffman and Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Derek Hendricks. We have received nothing but compliments from players of both teams. This weekend’s success was rounded out by the hard work and dedication of our Food and Beverage Department, including our new Executive Chef Steve Petrie, as well as our Sales Director LeAnne Reese and our Front of House Supervisor Lauren Bridges. From the Pairings Party to the delicious lunches, the service and quality was seamless.

Today we are mourning the loss of our long-standing Member and friend, Mr. Tommy Greer. Mr. Greer was an attorney here in Carrollton, as well as a pastor and mentor to many people from various walks of life. No matter how you came to know Tommy Greer, you always left knowing that you had made a friend. He could often be found with his golf group out on the course, or spending time with his beloved family. His absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him. A link to Mr. Greer’s CaringBridge page will be posted in the comments below for you to leave your love and prayers with his family. As it states, the family will be making arrangements in the coming days, and I will update service information here. Please give the Greer family time and space to experience their hurting and grief during such a difficult time.
