About last Friday!! It’s always a GREAT day to be a Club 833 member! Friday’s meeting was facilitated by our TMOD, JD Dirkschneider and the theme of meeting was Pearls. JD provided interesting facts about pearls and our Table Topics Master, Beverly Gibson provided pearls of wisdom themed questions. Our Word of the Day was enlighten provided by our Grammarian, Lillie Wilder. It is a verb meaning give (someone) greater knowledge and understanding about a subject or situati...on. Our speakers were Andrew Carlton and special guest speaker, DJ Turchon. Andrew made us laugh with his speech about tomatoes. He made great use of body language, which can really be a challenge with the online platform. Great job! DJ was visiting from a club in Maine, along with her mother, Jeanie. DJ was practing for an upcoming humorous speech contest. She kept us laughing with her childhood memory of home perms, giving to her by her mom, a hair stylist! Good luck in the contest! It’s a GREAT day to be a Club 833 member! Friday’s meeting (April 30th) was facilitated by our Toastmaster of the Day, Cindy Smallwood . The theme of meeting was The Love of Pets! All members got in the spirit by sharing pictures and stories of their pets, past and present. Our Table Topics Master, Karen Dishongh , provided fun questions following along with the pet theme. She was also working on an active listening project, so was evaluated on her role as Table Topics ...Master today. Our Word of the Day was amiable, provided by our Grammarian, Kathleen Bingaman. It is an adjective, describing having or displaying a friendly and pleasant manner. Our speakers were Ben Lin and @Dana Plazyk. Ben shared with us what he recently learned about self-improvement and his efforts so far in his journey to become his best self. Dana shared an amusing story of how everything she knows about social media she learned from her precious dog, Niqqi! Want to know more about the great speeches presented each week?
