The NAACP Empowerment Programs and Experian today announced the launch of a pilot program to assist African American homeowners at risk of losing their homes. The Home Preservation Grant will provide mortgage relief for grant recipients suffering from COVID-19 related hardship.

Clayton County Community Development Department, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Programs Division is offering COVID-19 Relief Financial Assistance. The assistance will provide up to three months rental or mortgage assistance as well as a one-time subsidy for utility assistance. Eligibility for COVID-19 Financial Relief Assistance is based primarily on two (2) factors: maximum household income limits and the can only be used to prevent, prepare for and respond to coronavirus only as required by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
